Running, Jumping, Throwing!
Calling all children in Grades 3-6! This informal and fun track and field clinic is designed to familiarize participants with the Olympic sport of track and field. The emphasis is on participating, learning, improving, and doing the best one can. The clinic is organized by David Bell with assistance from current and former Bromfield Track and Field team members.
Track events include:
- 100, 200, and 400 meters
- 50 meter dash for 3rd and 4th graders
- 800 meters and one mile for the 5th & 6th grades
- 4 x 100 meter relay race - come with your relay team together, or we'll make one
Field events include:
- Softball throw for distance
- Running long jump
Dates: Wednesdays May 8,15,22,29 and June 5 with Final Meet on Sun, June 9
Time: 4:30-6pm at McCurdy Track in Harvard (two exceptions 5/22 and 6/9)
